Their key role is fishing, hunting and agriculture. The largest wetlands in the world are the Amazon River Basin and the West Siberian Plains. The wetlands actually serve a very good purpose when it comes to food. They use wetlands to grow on vegetation which the right amount of water gives rich soil. It also has many different types of plants they have there. Such as reeds, water lilies, and also cattails. The wetlands occur in every continent except Antarctica.
